IMPROVED DESIGN
The Cut Tester is
developed to measure the cutting resistance of protective gloves,
according EN 388, by comparison with a control fabric.
The Cut Tester has
recently been redesigned according the latest requirements regarding
safety, ergonomics and reproducibility.
The measurement
according EN 388 is
based on comparison between results obtained on a control sample and
those obtained on a test sample. A circular blade which has an
alternative rotational movement and a linear movement is put on the
control sample with a pressure of 5N.
A
counter will count every tenth of a cycle until the blade reaches the
aluminium foil. Here the tester will automatically stop, as soon as it
detected the cutting.
